Cardiac rehabilitation is a branch of physiotherapy medicine in which comprehensive care is provided to a patient with cardiac disease or patient who have undergone cardiac surgeries to support, achieve and maintain optimal physical and psychosocial health.
Initially the cardiac rehabilitation was the part of treatment for patients with myocardial infraction (MI) only but now it encompasses a wide range of cardiac problems.
